Acne and Homeopathy
Acne is a common skin condition that causes pimples mainly on the face, forehead, chest, shoulders and upper back. There are several causes of acne, such as genetic factors, hormones, stress, high humidity and the use of fatty personal care products. Hormonal imbalance mainly contributes to the appearance of acne, which results in the sebaceous glands overproducing sebum, a fatty substance. Thus, the pores of the skin are blocked by dead cells and sebum, and thus you turn the skin into an ideal environment for the reproduction of bacteria that cause acne. Acne mainly affects adolescents but can occur at any age.
There are six basic types of acne, which are:
- Dark spots (blockage of pores)
- White spots (blockage of pores)
- Small red, touch-sensitive bumps
- Pimples (blisters), which are pus with pus on their edges
- Large, compact, painful bumps under the skin (nodules)
- Painful, pus-filled bumps under the skin (cystic acne)
Homeopathy offers long-term treatments to prevent acne, targeting the root of the disease and the factors that cause it. It addresses the causes of hormonal fluctuations and also helps reduce the acute symptoms of pain, inflammation and swelling.
Research has shown that homeopathic remedies for treating patients with severe common acne have shown a remission rate of over 80 % using personalized homeopathy treatment. It turned out that the treatment remained effective long after it was stopped and was not accompanied by side effects.
