Symptomatology

Migraine is a subjective experience. The pain may start on one side and then extended to the other. The eye area is often affected. The pain is usually severe and associated with nausea and general discomfort. The episodes of pain may be intermittently. (daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly). Migraine should be differentiated from other similar painful conditions, wherein the headache can be due to high blood pressure, trigeminal neuralgia, temporal arthritis etc.
